Wines for the new generation

Sprig is a range of accessible Marlborough wines that gives the next generation of a well-established Marlborough family the freedom to purposely craft appealing, likeable wines for their peers.

Sprig wines are grown by Jeremy Walsh on his family’s Bouldevines vineyard in the famed Dog Point Road area of Marlborough. His parents, Janey and Philip Walsh, grew wine grapes here for close on 30 years, until Jeremy took over in 2006. It’s now his turn as the next generation tending their land to add new life to the vineyard and put his own stamp on the way grapes are grown here at Bouldevines vineyard.

The name Sprig is one Jeremy first chose for his eager young vineyard dog. As the name also represents new growth from established vines, it was the perfect choice when Jeremy and winemaker Drew Ellis needed a name for this vibrant, youthful range of fresh and lively wines they produce for their next generation of wine drinkers.
